Rumbling Bald Resort is a beautiful resort located in the mountains of North Carolina on Lake Lure. Focused on offering a fully inclusive experience to their guests, the 2,900 acre property is home to a private white sand beach, children’s water park, two championship golf courses, three distinct dining experiences and numerous hiking and biking trails, all tailored for relaxation in our authentic mountain getaway.

After designing and building their website to showcase all of these wonderful amenities, Rumbling Bald asked us to specifically focus on creating and implementing a Search Engine Optimization strategy that would drive traffic for weddings, reunions and group sales.

The Strategy

To help Rumbling Bald increase search rankings, we created custom reporting and implemented a number of SEO tactics to help specifically drive traffic for weddings, reunions and group sales.

• SEO Audit - how are visitors using the site now - and how can that be improved?
• Competitive Analysis - what other sites do their visitors find - and how can we be better?
• Keyword Research - what phrases haven't we thought of to be found by the right visitor?
• Creation of a Proper Back-end - alt tags, page titles, meta descriptions, etc. all need to be targeted and relevant

The Results

The Rumbling Bald wedding landing page sessions from organic traffic has increased 48% with all of their subpages showing growth as well. Pages related to their group section showed an increase in organic traffic as well with Reunions showing a 50% increase and Group Golf Tournaments showing a 350% increase. Overall, the site has seen a 9% increase in organic search traffic.

We had so much fun working on creating this website and helping Rumbling Bald Resort increase group traffic that the Integritive staff decided we should hold one of our own staff outings there! We loved all the fun activities and resort amenities.
